Keypict is an efficient and easy to use tag and keyword editor. It is specifically designed to help you classify and catalogue your images collections. Unlike other similar software tools, the information is embedded into the image, not into an external database. You can create your list of most-used keywords, and assign them to hot keys, to help you reuse them with just a single key stroke.

Designed to help any user with the need to have their collection of digital images perfectly classified, all the information that is added to each image is based on free text. Therefore, Keypict offers you three simple text fields - title, description, and keywords. Here you can type in any information you need. The most interesting feature is associated with the third field, the keyword editor. In order to easily reuse all those keywords that we keep using in a large number of images (landscape, holidays, animals, people’s names, etc.), Keypict allows you to assign a keystroke to each of them. This way, you will not need to re-type all these words repeatedly, minimizing also the risk of typos. For those who are less used, but that you know you will be using again, this efficient tool will allow you to create also your own list of “unassigned” keywords.

Keypict supports JPEG, TIFF, and DNG images (Digital Negative). This application can handle a large number of them simultaneously, allowing you to view them in its original size or by using thumbnails that will help you to move quickly from one to the next. The information is effectively stored as image metadata (XMP for DNG and TIFF photos, and IPCT and XMP for JPEG images).
